Job Summary



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Scout and recruit high school and transfer students to participate in the program

  • Provide coaching and instruction to student athletes

  • Administer the College cross country and track program and budget

  • Assist in the development of the yearly budget for the program

  • Foster a team environment and sense of community which supports the retention of student athletes and growth in ability

  • Supervise all practices and program events and functions

  • Develop a practice schedule that is flexible with student athletes’ academic schedules and school functions

  • Facilitate and manage all team travel

  • Coordinate in-season and off-season practice/workout schedules

  • Develop a long-term vision for the College cross country and track program

  • Ensure program compliance with the NAIA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations

  • Prepare reports regarding the cross country and track and field program as necessary

  • Demonstrate a dedication to the pursuit of student learning outcomes at an all women, liberal arts institution

  • Serves on other committees, task forces, and boards as assigned

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds
