Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Robotic Camera Operator is responsible for supporting NBCSW studio productions, uplinks and live/pre-tape productions via the utilization of robotic camera equipment and software.

Responsibilities:

- Work with technical and content staff to satisfy production needs for live and live-to-tape programming, under supervision of Operations management & Studio Director

- Primary responsibility for live operation of multiple Ross robotics and Telemetrics systems across multiple studios

- Live operation includes all moves, focusing, presets and shot recalls

- Setting proper studio set lighting with lighting board and confirming acceptable video levels with Wave Form and Vector Scope monitors

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Communications) or equivalent work experience required
Two (2) years of related experience in live, multi-camera studio production preferred
Familiarity with Ross robotics (studio)
Familiarity with Telemetrics robotics (studio)
Requirements
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and set / strike studio gear
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required
Must be a collaborative team player who works well with others, in a fast paced, dynamic studio environment

Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, early mornings, weekends and holidays when necessary
Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
