Job Summary
General Manager (full time)
The Western Nebraska Pioneers summer collegiate baseball team is entering our seventh season as one of the most successful summer ball teams in North America. The team has led our league in attendance each of our first six seasons, with three championships and four playoff appearances, numerous players drafted and many interns promoted to higher level positions. We provide a tremendous community asset for our region and have won numerous awards in administration and tourism. But we strive for more.
Playing at 1,200-seat, one-year-old Oregon Trail Park Stadium, the Pioneers are members of the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. We provide affordable family fun all summer long in a minor league baseball setting. Music, food, beer, contests, giveaways and more - the Pioneers put on a show every night. This position is responsible for seeking and securing sponsorship and ticket clients as well as the overall operation of the franchise, with oversight and training from the ownership group.
We are looking for the RIGHT person, not just A person. This person will have a minimum of one year of direct sports management and sales experience, understand the concepts of minor league sports and have a tireless work ethic. A thirst for "more" and an "everywhere, all the time" attitude is essential.
Do you want to work in a fun, challenging, family-oriented setting with a growing company in a growing league? Become a Pioneer!
