Job Summary


Start Date:  January/February 2020

Position Summary:
This individual will play a vital role in the success of the Stockton Ports Ticket Department.  This person will assist in all aspects of the ticket department including sales, service, and operations. In addition to ticket sales, this person will learn all other aspects of the Ports organization such as stadium operations, promotions, and marketing.  This position will also play an important role during the 2020 California League All-Star Game and events. 
 
Essential Functions

  1. Learn all aspects of the ticket department from sales prospecting, ticket sales, ticket operations, and ticket servicing. 

  2. Fulfill and maintain an assigned, traceable minimum standard in personal sales effort. 

  3. Provide excellent customer service to new and existing clients.

  4. Staff ticket sales tables at outside events. 

  5. Be creative in developing new ways to boost the attendance of the team.   

  6. Plan and develop group ticket driven theme nights. 

  7. Other duties as assigned.

 
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Strong desire to work in the sports industry and learn all aspects of a Minor League Baseball team. 

  2. Working knowledge of sales. 

  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

  4. Outstanding attention to the details that impact the fan experience. 

  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office and associated products.  

  6. Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and within a team framework.

  7. Individual must be energetic, enthusiastic and demonstrate an initiative in completing all tasks at hand.

  8. Strong communications skills, both verbal and written. 

  9. Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. 



*This experience can also count toward college credit in most instances if necessary.
