Director of Finance

Job Summary

The Director of Finance plans and directs all aspects of financial, accounting, purchasing, and internal control functions for venue management at Fair Park in Dallas. Other responsibilities may include overseeing the interviewing, hiring, and discipline of full-time employees as well as planning, assigning, and directing work.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing.
2. Liaison with various City of Dallas departments. Monitors OVG’s compliance with all provisions of the management contract.
3. Maintains contact with Risk Management Department and Insurance broker for coordination of appropriate coverage.
4. Reviews all contracts for client, events, subcontractors, food and beverage or concessionaires.
5. Assist with show settlement including payments to promoters, compile all post-show financial info to enter into GL, prepare show income/loss reports.
