Job Summary

The Director of Athletics oversees the effective recruitment, hiring, supervision, mentoring, and/or evaluation of approximately 100 full- and part-time coaches. fields 27 NCAA Division III varsity sports with state-of-the-art facilities. Most of Carthage's teams compete in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Responsibilities:

Embody the principles of servant leadership, empowering and advocating for staff and student athletes.

Maintain positive, productive relationships with faculty and campus administrative staff.

Lead a team of coaches in recruitment efforts to yield high-caliber student-athletes.

Be responsible for developing plans, organizing, coordinating, and managing all aspects of intercollegiate athletics and the Athletics Department.

Lead fundraising, corporate sponsorship, promotions, and marketing activities, under the oversight of the Institutional Advancement and Communication offices.
