The Coordinator, Grassroots Marketing will be responsible for executing all grassroots marketing events and building brand awareness within the greater Philadelphia region. This person will assist in scheduling grassroots events and building relationships within the community. Applicants should be familiar with Microsoft Office and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. This position requires significant in-market travel, nights and weekends.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grassroots Operations

Building an event schedule and securing locations for over 150 events per year
Arranging all needed materials and equipment (Union giveaways, Sponsorship materials, JSC materials, gas, beverages and food for the event operation interns) for executing the events
Scheduling and communicating with interns for each event (intern availability)
Coordinating any Union player requests for the event and securing all needed materials for Union player appearance at the event (player cards, sharpies, extra chair and table, extra tent and beverage for the player)

Event Management

Communicating all logistics and event details with the point of contact at the event (Se-up, activities, location)
Taking photos of the event materials and equipment for future references and for Union sponsors and partners
Communicating logistics and event details with sponsors and partners at the event (set-up, activities, location)
Interacting with fans and kids at the Union table by giving away Union prizes, sponsors coupons and materials as well as promoting upcoming Union events

Game Day Plaza

Determine overall space layout for each home game by collaborating with Marketing, Game Ops and Corporate Partnerships
Setup and takedown of all event materials
Scheduling of interns to help run plaza activities

Mascot Management

Responsible for event scheduling (free and paid), booking paid appearances
Development of mascot digital content (website and social media)
Maintaining and conditioning of the mascot suit
Note that the Grassroots Coordinator does not serve as the actual mascot

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree required; degree in Marketing, Event Marketing or Sports Management preferred
Preferred minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing and events
Must have a valid driver's license
Frequently must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be available to work nights and weekends
The ability to work independently and in a team/collaborative work environment is required along with strong organizational, interpersonal and planning skills

PA Child Abuse History clearance
PA State Police Criminal Records Check
An FBI Criminal Background Check
