Job Summary
SALES ASSOCIATE
The Norwich Sea Unicorns are seeking a dynamic sales representative to be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Incumbent will be responsible for selling in both the group sales/ticketing and sponsorship categories. Other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, greeting clients at games, regularly attending local Chamber of Commerce events and Community Relations.
Success in this role will require a deep understanding of the sales process as well as superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in sales is an advantage.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Duties
-Salesperson for club responsible for selling all items in inventory in group/ticket and sponsorship categories
-Learn TicketReturn ticketing system and assist in overseeing Ticket Office
-Assist in developing new inventory as needed
-Assist in exploring new revenue streams for club in-season and for non-Sea Unicorns events
-Enter information regarding all contact with clients into CRM system for proper tracking
-Preparing and submitting sales contracts, signing agreements with clients, and obtaining deposits and balance of payments
-Ensure all aspects of sales contracts are fulfilled
-Assist with Community Relations
-Attend events such as Business After Hours and other Chamber of Commerce sponsored events to build relationships with business leaders in the community
Game Night Responsibilities
-Meet and greet all clients who are in stadium for each game
-Visit all luxury suites during games and service clients
Other Duties as Assigned
REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor’s degree in sport management, business, marketing, or related field
-Previous experience in sales is preferred
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Computer competency, especially with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
-Ability to work comfortably in a fast paced environment
-Ability to work odd (evening, weekend, holiday) hours during season
